JUST IN : Aston Villa star player reveal what convinced him to leave the club this summer

Jaden Philogene departed Aston Villa during the summer transfer window, and now that he has left the team, he has finally made his feelings known.

The transfer period was quite active for Aston Villa. Numerous players joined the team during that time, while some players also left.

Philogene was one of them. Hull City acquired the left winger, who is 21 years old, from Villa for almost £5 million.

The attacker has now publicly announced his departure and revealed his motivation for moving to Hull this summer.

Jaden Philogene speaks on relocating to Hull
It was never going to be easy for any of the younger talents to break into the team with Villa now competing in Europe and the top half of the Premier League.

The boss, Liam (Rosenior), and the way these lads play football sold it to me, Philogene remarked when asked why he left. He showed me a place to play that is appropriate for my football style. Everything contributed to where I am now.

“I have to bring my knowledge of the Championship and what it entails to Hull. I know what it’s like to be in a relegation battle.”

It’s encouraging to see that Philogene accepted the move, even though it was to a team in a lower tier, in order to play more football.

It’s encouraging to see that Hull’s playing style helped sell the ‘electric’ player. It will be intriguing to see if he can make a significant difference at Hull this year.

The 21-year-old’s departure was perhaps best for Villa at that particular moment. For him, they received some excellent cash that they might use to other uses.
