JUST IN: Crystal Palace’s coach is concerned about a defender’s health before the encounter against Aston Villa.

Marc Guehi exited the field before halftime in England’s 3-1 victory over Scotland on Tuesday, leaving Crystal Palace to question his health ahead of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Aston Villa.

Alongside Brighton’s Lewis Dunk, the 23-year-old defender from Lewisham started the 150th anniversary game of the first encounter with the Scots at Hampden Park.

At halftime, Harry Maguire took over for Guehi, who has started each Premier League game this season under Roy Hodgson.

Guehi, a former defender for Swansea and Chelsea, began and participated in all 90 minutes for England in their 1-1 draw with Ukraine on Saturday in a Euro 2024 qualifying match.

According to England manager Gareth Southgate, “He was just feeling something at halftime.”

He couldn’t continue, so we hope it’s not too bad.

On the final day of the transfer window, the Eagles acquired Arsenal center Rob Holding.

James Tomkins and Chris Richards, who have both been with the USA on international duty, are other alternatives available to Hodgson.

Robert Jenrick, a former housing secretary, urged everyone in the nation who has the means to purchase a newspaper, saying that “a free country needs a free press, and the newspapers of our country are under significant financial pressure.”
