Some Nottingham Forest supporters would have been happy to see Keinan Davis return during the most recent transfer windows. With Udinese, he has now had the worst conceivable start to life in Italy.
The talisman stayed at the City Ground for the remainder of 2021–2022. Although it’s advised to never fall in love with a loan player, the Aston Villa striker’s followers did just that.
Some people have had trouble letting him go. Some supporters were baffled when Forest decided not to sign Davis last summer. A particular segment, though, longed for the player to visit the City Ground in January.
Some fans would have wanted him back even this summer. In all honesty, the people who are outraged and who seem to be unwilling to let Davis go simply need a reality check, and they may have received one.
Messagero Veneto claims that the footballer now expects to miss time until November due to a calf issue. Additionally, the source states that Udinese is dissatisfied with Davis’ physical state upon arrival.
Forest supporters need to move past Davis.
At the City Ground, the striker gained experience as a Championship player. Davis was outstanding for Forest and scored five goals as the team sprinted to the top division.
He has, nonetheless, established himself as a Champion. There isn’t much proof that Davis can emulate Taiwo Awoniyi’s success at Forest in developing into a skilled Premier League center-forward.
Davis has participated in 34 Premier League games over the course of his career, scoring just one goal. Although it’s simple to claim that his game involves more than simply goals, Forest has now moved on to players of higher caliber.
It’s surprising that Davis didn’t arrive at Udinese in the best physical condition. The 25-year-old is already up against a battle to establish himself at his new club, and his major calf injury is only making matters worse.
