JUST IN : West Ham United have expressed an interest in signing the 23-year-old midfielder

Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has no plans to leave Stamford Bridge this winter. The 23-year-old England international has a few of years left on his deal with the Premier League club.

According to Football Insider, he is ‘happy’ at Chelsea and has no plans to leave despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United ahead of the January transfer window. He was linked to the pair over the summer, but stayed put past the deadline earlier this month.

Tottenham have made a solid start to the season following Ange Postecoglou’s arrival from Celtic, and the Epsom-born man may be seen as someone who would boost their ranks further. This Saturday, they defeated Sheffield United 2-1 at home thanks to two late goals. West Ham, on the other hand, fell to Manchester City 3-1 at home. The Hammers still have money to spend after selling Declan Rice to Arsenal for a large sum, and Gallagher might be a marquee acquisition in the future.

However, he looks to be content where he is for the time being. He has spent his entire career with Chelsea, rising through the levels of their academy.

Gallagher played for the Blues at various junior levels before being loaned out to Charlton Athletic, Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion, and Crystal Palace to acquire experience. He has now appeared in 50 games for his current team, scoring three goals.
