JUST IN: Sunderland’s 20-year-old midfielder insists on leaving the club during the January transfer window.

Sunderland midfielder Abdoullah Ba insists that his physical game has improved significantly since moving to England.

The 20-year-old Frenchman joined the Black Cats from Le Havre last summer and signed a five-year contract with the Championship club.

Last season, the versatile midfielder appeared in 27 games for Sunderland, scoring two goals.

Ba emphasized that he is really satisfied under Tony Mowbray and revealed that his confidence is currently quite high.

He emphasized that the Championship is considerably more physical than the French league and that he has improved physically significantly in the last year at the Stadium of Light.

“I think I’ve developed a physicality because it’s not the same physicality in France,” Ba told the Sunderland Echo.
