Morgan Fox is not expected to be available for QPR’s games this week, according to manager Gareth Ainsworth.
This weekend, QPR were defeated 3-1 at home by Coventry City. To make matters worse, their defender injured his knee.
Fox, 30, joined the Hoops in the summer after leaving rival Championship club Stoke City. So far this season, he has been a regular for his new club.
According to West London Sport, Ainsworth has provided an update on his situation: “It was difficult to lose Morgan.” He’s been a great defensive performer. However, there are now opportunities for others. He fell strangely on his knee, and we’ll check into it, but I don’t think he’ll be able to play again. be back for this week. QPR QPR will be hoping that Fox isn’t out of action for too long ahead of their upcoming fixtures. They face an away trip to Elland Road on Wednesday night to take on Leeds United. The R’s then lock horns with Blackburn Rovers at home next weekend as they look to bounce back from their defeat to Coventry. Ainsworth’s side are currently sat in 22nd place in the table and are inside the bottom three on goal difference. QPR landed Fox in July to bolster their defensive department. He penned a two-year deal and has since made nine appearances in all competitions.
The former Wales youth international is a seasoned Football League player who has appeared in over 300 games in his career. He has previously played for Charlton Athletic, Sheffield Wednesday, and Stoke City and will be an asset in and around the locker room.
With him scheduled to be evaluated, the Hoops are likely to be without him against Leeds.
