Tijjani Reijnders once again expressed his immense pride and happiness in being a part of AC Milan, emphasizing his belief in the team’s potential to secure trophies this season.
Reijnders, who recently featured for the Netherlands in their quest for a spot in the 2024 European Championships, shared his thoughts with SportMediaset after a hard-fought victory against Greece. He acknowledged the significance of the three hard-earned points against a resilient opponent and expressed the team’s ambition to qualify for the upcoming European Championship.
Since his transfer to Milan from AZ Alkmaar in the summer, Reijnders has seamlessly integrated into the squad and has become a key player relied upon by Stefano Pioli. He conveyed his immediate sense of belonging to the
Rossoneri, stating his happiness in representing Milan and highlighting the team’s strong capabilities. Reijnders emphasized their goal of clinching the scudetto and the belief that they are in a favorable position. He also expressed confidence in their ability to triumph in the upcoming challenging matches and even suggested that they could contend for the Champions League title.
Despite a setback in the form of a 5-1 derby defeat to Inter last month, Milan has rebounded impressively, with just one goal conceded in their last six games. Reijnders noted that while the derby loss was disappointing, the team’s response in subsequent matches has been excellent, and they currently find themselves at the top.
