The Huddersfield Town owner did not hide his disappointment after his side were beaten by Cardiff City

Huddersfield Town’s owner, Kevin Nagle, expressed his deep disappointment after his team’s 4-0 loss to Cardiff City in midweek. The Terriers, who are currently struggling at the bottom of the Championship, suffered a convincing defeat at home against the Bluebirds, leading to Nagle’s strong criticism.

Despite having just one win in their last six games, manager Darren Moore has not been able to bring about a significant turnaround for the team. This weekend, Huddersfield Town faces the Yorkshire Derby against Leeds United, where the odds are stacked against them.

Leeds United aims to compound the woes of their close rivals, fully aware of the need to perform at their best. In an earlier game, they drew with Sheffield Wednesday, who are still without a win as October comes to a close.

On that day, Daniel Farke’s team did not perform at their peak, and they cannot afford a similar slip-up if they have serious aspirations for automatic promotion. Ipswich Town and Leicester City currently lead the Championship, with Leeds closely pursuing them.

Following the Yorkshire derby with Town, Leeds United is set to face Leicester City in their next Championship fixture, potentially putting them in a favorable position to contend for automatic promotion. Huddersfield Town’s owner, Nagle, is hopeful that his team can deliver a significantly improved performance at Elland Road.

Nagle expressed his disappointment on social media following the loss to Cardiff, stating, “The performance was unacceptable. Our fans deserve better, and we need improvement from the leadership down to the players. It starts with me. If you’re frustrated, feel free to express it to me – I can handle it. I promise we will do better.”
