Wilfred Ndidi, a versatile midfielder for the Super Eagles, will be unavailable for Leicester City’s upcoming match against Queens Park Rangers, as reported by Soccernet.ng. This 26-year-old Nigerian midfielder has experienced a resurgence under the management of Enzo Maresca, adopting a more advanced role in the team.
Despite featuring for Nigeria during the International Break, Ndidi did not play for Leicester in their 1-0 victory over Swansea last week. Leicester’s manager, Maresca, has explained that Ndidi missed the game at the Swansea.com
Stadium due to a muscular injury, which will also keep him out of the match against Queens Park Rangers. Initially, it was thought that Ndidi was simply fatigued, but it turned out to be a minor muscular problem. Maresca stated that it’s not a significant issue, but Ndidi is expected to be sidelined for several days or even weeks. When he returns from injury, the midfielder will be gradually reintegrated into the squad.
Under Maresca’s leadership at the King Power Stadium, Leicester has risen to the top of the Championships and has ambitions of returning to the English top-flight.
