West Brom 4 key players has spotted back in training after long injury layoffs

West Bromwich Albion’s players Darly Dike, Josh Maja, John Swift, and Adam Reach, who have been sidelined due to injuries, have been spotted training together as they work towards their respective comebacks.

The club shared a video on their social media platforms on November 7, depicting the four players undergoing training away from the main group as they continue their journey back to full fitness.

Dike, a striker, has been out of action since April when he suffered a ruptured Achilles in a match against Stoke City. Reach also joined him on the sidelines after experiencing a quad injury recurrence during Burton Albion’s pre-season.

John Swift and Josh Maja have been significant absences for West Brom this season. Swift, the club’s top scorer with six goals, suffered a thigh problem during a match against Birmingham City last month. Maja, on the other hand, sustained ankle ligament damage in a goalless draw against Bristol City in September.

The encouraging news is that all four players have been seen training away from the main squad and are making strides in their recovery. Swift and Maja are expected to make their returns after the upcoming international break.

West Brom has already started to reap the benefits of returning players. Semi Ajayi, who recently returned to the squad, scored in a 3-1 victory over Hull City. Jeremy Sarmiento, on loan from Brighton, also made a long-awaited return as a substitute.

The forward positions have been a concern for West Brom’s manager, who has had to deploy Jed Wallace in an unfamiliar forward role due to a lack of options. This tactical decision has proven to be successful, with West Brom on an excellent run of form, being unbeaten in their last five games and currently occupying fifth place in the Championship table.

While Dike and Reach are not expected to return until around the new year, the return of Swift and Maja to training is significant news for the club. Swift, in particular, has been a creative force this season, while Maja is hoping to find his form after a free summer transfer from Sunderland and Bordeaux.

In other West Brom news, there are reports of an imminent takeover by an NFL star and a billionaire executive, which has been described as “interesting.”
