The Rams are set to relocate their practice facility to Woodland Hills ahead of the 2024 NFL season, according to a recent announcement by the franchise. Construction work is scheduled to commence later this week, marking a significant shift for the team as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Kevin Demoff, the Rams’ Chief Operating Officer, expressed excitement during a celebratory ceremony held at the Topanga Village indoor-outdoor mall, which is adjacent to the new Woodland Hills site. Demoff mentioned the satisfaction of officially confirming the move after various speculations in the community about the Rams’ potential arrival.

The organization aims to have a temporary practice facility ready at the Woodland Hills site by the start of the offseason program, with the deadline for this move being the team’s return from training camp. The temporary setup will involve new modular trailers, providing office space, meeting rooms for coaches and players, a weight room, training room, locker room, media room, and a meal room. Two practice fields will be set up adjacent to these trailers, with the grass for the fields currently in the process of being grown.

Demoff outlined the plan for the temporary facility, emphasizing that it would be constructed on the west side of the practice fields. Permanent grass fields will be installed on the east side, and the long-term vision is to build a permanent facility on the north side of the fields. This phased approach allows the team to utilize the practice facility while the permanent facility is being developed.

Additionally, Demoff mentioned the intention to relocate the organization’s business office in Agoura Hills to Warner Center in the near future. The ultimate goal is to combine the football and business offices once the new permanent facility is ready for training camp.

Demoff highlighted the benefits of having both sides of the organization in close proximity, fostering greater interaction and a sense of unity. While training camp plans are not currently set for Woodland Hills, Demoff mentioned the team’s historical preference for holding training camp away from its regular facilities. Exploring locations with the potential for an indoor facility or sufficient shade is on the agenda, with Demoff acknowledging head coach Sean McVay’s desire for an indoor practice facility. The Rams are considering various possibilities, including community use for such a facility.
