The position of AC Milan’s head coach, Stefano Pioli, is currently under intense scrutiny, with many fans calling for his departure. However, according to Luca Serafini, a pundit on MilanTV, the club should carefully assess the situation before making any decisions.

In the last four league games, Milan has only secured two points and faced setbacks, including losing a 2-0 lead against Napoli and Lecce. The fans have raised questions about Pioli’s capabilities amid these challenges.

Luca Serafini, in his recent editorial for MilanNews, emphasized the need for a thorough evaluation before parting ways with Pioli. He suggested that Milan should consider the relationship between the manager and the team, examining whether there is still trust, empathy, and a shared path. While external observations may indicate stability, Serafini stressed the importance of the management conducting a meticulous investigation.

Serafini also highlighted the role of results in assessing the situation, attributing the season’s ups and downs to injuries. He expressed the view that a managerial change should only be considered if a valid and credible replacement is lined up. Referring to Napoli’s managerial change and the subsequent hiring of Mazzarri, he argued that if Milan believes they can improve with a different manager, a decision to sack Pioli could be justified. Otherwise, he suggested it might be appropriate to continue with Pioli, ensuring that the team’s pieces fit together and the situation doesn’t worsen.

Looking ahead, Milan’s crucial game against Fiorentina after the break is emphasized, with Serafini highlighting the importance of addressing the team’s injury challenges. The priority, according to him, should be finding solutions to the depth struggles faced by the Rossoneri.
