Wolves fantastic key player makes an encouraging remark about his playing career

Wolves defender Craig Dawson, despite his advancing age, continues to deliver impressive performances on the field. Dawson joined Wolves earlier this year for a fee of around £3 million from West Ham United, following a delayed transfer that was initially blocked by West Ham a year ago due to their inability to secure a replacement.

Since joining Wolves, Dawson has proven to be a crucial addition, bringing much-needed strength and authority to the team’s defense. What makes his impact even more remarkable is that he is 33 years old. However, Dawson, in a recent feature for the Wolves official website, expressed no intentions of retiring anytime soon. In response to a question about sports or activities he wishes to try, he mentioned skiing and other winter sports, adding that he plans to explore them “once I’ve retired – but I’ve got a few years left yet.”

While Dawson may be approaching the latter stages of his playing career, his performances suggest otherwise. With 29 appearances for Wolves already, he has consistently displayed a high level of play. Dawson’s professionalism and attention to detail in his preparation, noted during his time at West Bromwich Albion, contribute to his sustained excellence on the pitch. Stuart Pearce, who has worked with Dawson at multiple clubs, even labeled him as ‘the best professional you’ll ever work with.’

Despite being 33, Dawson’s dedication and professionalism show no signs of diminishing, and if he maintains this standard, there is every reason to believe that he can continue performing at a high level well into his late thirties.
