Bradford City legend is set to make an appearance in the city this weekend

Bradford City icon Chris Kamara is set to make an appearance in the city this weekend to promote his newly released autobiography, ‘Kammy: My Unbelievable Life.’ The event will take place at Waterstones in Bradford’s Wool Exchange on Saturday, November 25, from 10 am to noon, where Kamara will be available to sign copies of his book.

The announcement, shared on Waterstones’ social media platform, highlights the opportunity for fans to meet the football legend and potentially secure a perfect Bradford City-themed Christmas present.

Chris Kamara has a significant history with Bradford City, having played for and managed the club. During the 1994/95 season, he contributed 23 appearances and three goals as a player. Subsequently, he assumed the managerial role at Valley Parade in 1995 until his departure to Stoke City in 1998.

Beyond his on-field and managerial contributions, Kamara is widely recognized for his work as a presenter and football analyst at Sky Sports, a role he held from 1992 to 2022. Additionally, he disclosed last year that he has apraxia of speech, a condition impacting the communication of speech messages from the brain to the mouth.

In recognition of his substantial contributions to football, anti-racism efforts, and charity, Chris Kamara was honored with an MBE in King Charles III’s New Year’s Honours list.
