Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday – 10 games that will shape Hull City’s season

The Tigers are set to resume league action this weekend against Swansea City after Tyler Morton’s impressive performance for England’s Under-21s. This marks the end of international breaks until March, initiating a challenging stretch for Hull City with 22 league fixtures in the next 114 days, along with at least one FA Cup game.

The upcoming 10 games are crucial for Hull City’s quest for a place in the Championship’s top six, with only one match against a team currently above them in the league – a Boxing Day clash with Sunderland at the MKM Stadium. Liam Rosenior’s team will also face Cardiff City, the side directly below them, shortly after their match against Middlesbrough.

Apart from these challenging fixtures, Hull City will encounter several games against lower-ranked Championship teams, providing them with an excellent opportunity to solidify their position in the playoff race, with thirty points at stake.

Their first fixture is against Swansea City, a team in transition after the appointment of Michael Duff. Swansea City currently sits in 17th place, seven points behind the Tigers. The prediction for this match is a 1-1 draw.

The subsequent fixtures include Rotherham United on November 28, Watford on December 2, QPR on December 9, Middlesbrough on December 13, Cardiff City on December 16, Bristol City on December 22, Sunderland on December 26, and Blackburn Rovers on December 29, with corresponding predictions for each game.

These upcoming matches present both challenges and opportunities for Hull City as they strive to secure a spot in the Championship’s top six.
