Falcons quarterback Taylor Heinicke will be sidelined in Week 11 due to a hamstring injury that forced him to exit his Week 10 start prematurely. Desmond Ridder will resume the starting role, and there’s uncertainty about Heinicke’s availability as the backup, given the persistent nature of his soft-tissue injury. The Falcons have labeled him as questionable after he participated in three limited practices.
Heinicke, who has started two games this season, has accumulated 498 passing yards with three touchdowns and one interception. The team’s third quarterback, Logan Woodside, is poised as an option.
Receiver Mack Hollins will miss a second consecutive week due to an ankle injury sustained in Week 9 against the Vikings. Although he returned to practice on Wednesday, Hollins was absent on Thursday and Friday, leading to his ruled-out status.
On a positive note, the Falcons anticipate the availability of kicker Younghoe Koo, who has no injury designation. Koo missed Wednesday’s practice due to a back injury, prompting the signing of Matthew Wright to the practice squad. However, Koo showed improvement, being limited on Thursday and participating fully on Friday.
