Huddersfield Town manager Darren Moore has confirmed that the potential return of Jordan Rhodes from his loan spell at Blackpool is under consideration as the club navigates discussions about the upcoming January transfer window. Rhodes, currently on a season-long loan, has been in excellent form for Blackpool, scoring 10 goals in 15 appearances and earning a nomination for the EFL Player of the Month for October.
Moore emphasized that Rhodes is still a Huddersfield Town player and, like other loaned-out players such as Aaron Rowe, Brodie Spencer, and Kieran Phillips, could be recalled in January. While acknowledging Rhodes’ success at Blackpool, Moore expressed a professional approach, stating that the club is closely monitoring all loan players, with detailed reports received weekly.
The manager is allowing the loaned-out players to continue their regular game time, and decisions regarding recalls will be made closer to the January window. Moore highlighted the importance of maintaining flexibility and not discounting the possibility of loan players returning.
In other news, Danny Ward and David Kasumu are potentially in contention for the upcoming Championship home game against Southampton after featuring in a behind-closed-doors game during the January international break. Jack Rudoni and Delano Burgzorg are also making progress, with Moore confirming that they could be involved in action before the end of the year. Despite a block of upcoming games, Moore is optimistic about the recovery of these players, particularly Jack Rudoni, who is making significant strides in his rehabilitation. Delano Burgzorg is expected to be back in action soon.
