Kylian Mbappe has issued a cautionary message to Newcastle United in anticipation of their Champions League encounter tonight. In the wake of Paris Saint-Germain’s recent 2-1 loss to AC Milan, Mbappe has conveyed that his team is geared up for a strong response when facing Newcastle at the Parc des Princes (kick-off 8pm).
Despite suffering a significant defeat to Newcastle in October, PSG’s fortunes have since turned around. Newcastle, on the other hand, comes into the match on the back of consecutive losses to Borussia Dortmund and must avoid further defeat to keep their chances of progressing to the knockout stages alive. Complicating matters for Eddie Howe’s side is the absence of 14 senior players due to injuries.
Facing adversity, if Newcastle aims to secure a positive outcome in the French capital, they will need to overcome significant challenges. PSG, currently holding the second position in Group F with a two-point advantage over Newcastle, is determined not to allow a repeat of their prior loss.
Following the setback in Italy, PSG’s star player, Mbappe, expressed the team’s commitment to bouncing back, stating, “It’s a defeat, it hurts, but we have to look forward. We still have our destiny in our hands, and we’re going to do everything we can to win at home and give ourselves some breathing space in this group.”
Acknowledging the support of the fans despite the on-field disappointment, Mbappe assured that the team would respond positively against Newcastle, emphasizing their determination to turn the tide in their favor.
