Hollywood actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, who co-own Wrexham AFC, are playfully battling for prestigious titles in North Wales. In a promotional video, McElhenney refers to himself as “Mr Wrexham,” prompting Reynolds to question the source of that title and dub himself “Dr Wrexham.” In a humorous twist, McElhenney concludes by inviting tourists to enjoy Wales with him as “Sir Wrexham.”
The actors, known for their roles in Deadpool and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, have used humor to promote their involvement with Wrexham AFC and their experiences in the United Kingdom. Despite their lighthearted
approach, Reynolds and McElhenney are fully committed to the success of Wrexham as both a football club and a city. Their efforts to guide Wrexham AFC toward success are documented in the popular ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary series. Currently, Wrexham is performing well in the League Two table, with aspirations to reach the Premier League.
