Reflecting on his standout moments of the season, Hwang highlighted a particular highlight during an interview with BBC’s Football Focus. He pointed to his goal against the reigning treble champions, Manchester City, as a special moment. Hwang described it as a significant highlight, emphasizing the team’s determination and excellent performance leading to their victory over City.

In that match, Hwang scored in the second half, ultimately securing the win for Wolves after Manchester City faced defensive challenges in the box. Hwang had two opportunities, with the first shot deflected, but he successfully converted the second chance after a setup by Matheus Cunha.

Hwang’s goal-scoring spree began in the second game week of the season, where he scored Wolves’ only goal in a 4-1 loss. Subsequently, he found the net against Crystal Palace, Liverpool, and Aston Villa. Notably, his goal against Manchester City marked a turning point, as it came in a winning effort, followed by another goal against Aston Villa and subsequent strikes against Newcastle and Fulham.

Wolves’ attackers, including Hwang Hee-Chan, have played a pivotal role in the team’s improved performance, lifting them to a more comfortable position in the Premier League table. Despite some controversial VAR decisions affecting their standing, the team’s resurgence is evident, with Hwang being a key contributor to their success.
