Huddersfield Town owner Kevin Nagle has expressed full support for manager Darren Moore following the team’s recent victory, only the second under Moore’s charge. The Terriers secured a crucial 2-1 win against Sunderland, a significant result as Queens Park Rangers also won their first game on the same day.
Despite being six points above the relegation zone, another victory could potentially elevate Huddersfield to 17th place, depending on results elsewhere. The team had a positive week, earning four points from matches against Southampton and Sunderland. A win against Swansea City in the upcoming weekend could see them surpass Swansea in the standings.
Huddersfield Town, managed by Moore, currently faces challenges, being one of the joint-third lowest scorers and possessing the joint-third worst defensive record in the Championship this season. However, despite these statistics, Nagle has reaffirmed his support for Moore, emphasizing his belief in the manager’s abilities and expressing optimism about the team’s future.
In a recent interview with BBC Radio Leeds, Nagle dismissed any consideration of a potential managerial change, stating that he believes in Darren Moore and sees the early stages of something great unfolding under his leadership. The owner’s unwavering support for Moore suggests a commitment to stability and belief in the manager’s vision for the team, especially after parting ways with Neil Warnock earlier in the season. The team’s recent positive performances against challenging opponents further bolster Nagle’s confidence in Moore and the squad’s potential to remain in the division.
