Leeds United midfielder Ethan Ampadu is urging Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon to consider a permanent deal at Elland Road. Rodon, who is currently on loan at Leeds, has been a standout performer, contributing to the team’s recent 3-2 victory over Middlesbrough and helping them secure five wins in the last six games. Leeds currently holds the third position in the Championship table as they aim to close the gap on Ipswich Town and Leicester City in their promotion push.
Joe Rodon, having joined Leeds on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur, has Championship experience from his time with Swansea City and has been praised for his contributions to the team. After the recent victory against Middlesbrough, Rodon shared his celebration on Instagram, expressing his focus on the upcoming game against Blackburn Rovers.
In response, Leeds and Wales international teammate Ethan Ampadu commented with a plea for Rodon to stay, indicating his belief in Rodon’s quality. Ampadu, who himself committed to Leeds after a series of loan moves, seems to endorse the idea of Rodon making a long-term commitment to the Whites.
However, securing Rodon permanently may pose a financial challenge for Leeds, with reports suggesting that Tottenham is seeking £20 million for the move. While Leeds might attempt to negotiate a lower price, the possibility of a permanent transfer could depend on Leeds’ success in securing promotion back to the Premier League.
