Terriers boss Darren Moore expressed his hope after Swansea City clash

Huddersfield Town is closely monitoring the condition of versatile defender Ben Jackson after he was substituted in the second half of the team’s recent 1-1 draw against Swansea City. Jackson, who has delivered strong performances in recent weeks, was withdrawn on the hour mark during the match.

Manager Darren Moore expressed his hope that Jackson’s substitution was due to “tiredness and fatigue” rather than an injury. The team has been dealing with an extensive injury list, with eight players sitting out the Swansea City game. Moore, despite welcoming back players like Danny Ward, Delano Burgzorg, and Josh Koroma in recent weeks, acknowledged that any further setbacks would be the “last thing” the team needs, especially with a busy run of games ahead during the Christmas period.

Moore is pleased with the minutes that players like Del and Danny have accumulated in recent matches, considering the upcoming demanding schedule. Looking ahead to the Christmas fixtures, he emphasized the importance of avoiding serious injuries due to overuse, particularly during a period with quick succession of games.

BEN JACKSON: I CAN'T WAIT! - News - Huddersfield Town

The only concern highlighted by Moore is the condition of Ben Jackson, and the club will assess him over the next couple of days. Moore expressed optimism that Jackson’s situation is related to tiredness and fatigue, common in the wing-back position that requires covering significant distances. The hope is that Jackson’s condition is not too serious, allowing the team to navigate through the busy schedule without significant injury setbacks.

Huddersfield Town has had three matches in quick succession following the international break, taking five points from games against Southampton, Sunderland, and Swansea City. The next challenge is a home fixture against Bristol City, marking the beginning of a series of six matches until the end of the year. Moore has given the players an extra day off to ensure they have adequate time for rest and recovery after a challenging week. The team will resume training on Tuesday to prepare for the upcoming fixtures.
