Matija Popovic, currently under contract with Partizan until December 31, 2023, is set to join AC Milan in January. Alongside Popovic, AC Milan is exploring the addition of Juan Miranda from Real Betis as a more seasoned player. The 23-year-old left-back is presently under contract with Betis Sevilla until June 30, 2024. Milan’s directors are expected to engage in further talks with Miranda’s agents to iron out the remaining contract details.

Miranda is envisioned to serve as a backup for Theo Hernandez, and AC Milan intends to submit an offer to Betis for his acquisition in January. However, if Betis does not grant approval for the transfer, Miranda would join AC Milan on a free transfer in June 2024 upon the expiration of his contract with Betis. The negotiations with Miranda reflect AC Milan’s strategy to bolster its squad with a blend of youthful talent and experienced players in the upcoming transfer window.
