Rotherham United chairman has publicly invited supporters to our annual Rotherham Remembers event.

Rotherham United extends an invitation to supporters to participate in our annual Rotherham Remembers tribute. This event, scheduled before our match against Stoke City on January 13, 2024, serves as a collective remembrance for players, staff, and supporters who passed away in 2023.

We view it as an honor to contribute to commemorating those associated with the club, whether through support, play, or work. This gesture is our modest way of acknowledging the love and loyalty these individuals demonstrated throughout their lives.

The Rotherham Remembers tribute has become a significant tradition in welcoming the New Year. It holds special importance as we celebrate the lives of our cherished family, friends, and fellow Millers who dedicated a substantial part of their lives to the Rotherham United crest.

The response to this tribute has consistently been overwhelming, reinforcing the emotional connection within the Rotherham United family. While we hope the list of those we remember remains short, the occasion provides a poignant opportunity for us and the loved ones of the departed to come together in honoring their memory.

Apart from the tribute at AESSEAL New York Stadium, we will share the ‘Rotherham Remembers’ video reel on our social media platforms, enabling everyone to pay their respects to those no longer with us.

We encourage supporters to join us in commemorating the lives of departed Millers by submitting names for remembrance before the kick-off against Stoke City on January 13, 2024 – our initial home game of the New Year.

Fans wishing to have their loved ones’ names displayed on the big screen should email remembers@rotherhamunited.net with the subject ‘Rotherham Remembers 2023.’ An automatic email response will confirm the receipt of your submitted name. Please ensure names are spelled as desired, as duplicates will only appear once on the honours reel.

Names will also be featured in the official matchday program for the fixture, with a submission deadline of 5 pm on January 11, 2024. While efforts will be made to include all names, those received after this time may not be guaranteed due to printing sign-offs.

Names for the big screen tribute will be accepted until 5 pm on January 13, 2024. Unfortunately, names received after this deadline cannot be included due to production timelines for the program and big screen content.
