Huddersfield Town receives conflicting injury news as Darren Moore faces a goalkeeping crisis.

Huddersfield Town is gearing up to face Bristol City at the John Smith’s Stadium tomorrow, aiming to extend their unbeaten run in the Championship to four matches. The team will welcome back Ben Wiles and Lee Nicholls to the squad for the upcoming clash after the duo missed the last three matches due to hamstring and neck injuries, respectively.

Chris Maxwell has deputized effectively for Lee Nicholls during his absence, showcasing his skills as the goalkeeper. Manager Darren Moore, speaking at a press briefing, expressed satisfaction with Ben Wiles’ recent training sessions, indicating that he will be part of the squad for the Bristol City match. Similarly, if Lee Nicholls has not experienced any setbacks, he is expected to be included in the squad as well.

However, the team will be without the services of Ben Jackson, who is dealing with “muscle soreness.” Jackson was subbed off in the game against Swansea City last weekend after playing for an hour. Moore mentioned the cautious approach, stating, “He’s just got a little bit of muscle soreness that we just won’t take a risk with.” While Moore doesn’t anticipate a long-term injury, the upcoming game against Bristol City might come too soon for Jackson.

Looking ahead, Moore is optimistic about the recovery of other injured players. Jack Rudoni, Kyle Hudlin, and Ben Jackson are expected to be back in action before the end of 2023. Moore stated, “Certainly we expect to see Jack, Kyle Hudlin, Ben Jackson all back this side of the year, but not tomorrow.”
