What Hull City boss Liam Rosenior said after renewing few year contract with the Tigers.

Hull City manager Liam Rosenior has committed to a new three-year contract at the club, as confirmed by the Tigers. The 39-year-old, who previously played for Hull from 2012 to 2015, assumed the managerial role at the MKM Stadium in November of the previous year, following a brief stint as the caretaker manager of Derby County.

Rosenior has overseen more than fifty games for Hull, securing 18 wins, 20 draws, and 14 defeats. In his first season in charge, he helped the team achieve Championship safety with a 15th-placed finish. In the current season, Hull has demonstrated playoff potential with 10 wins, 6 draws, and 6 losses in the opening 22 league games, accumulating 36 points and occupying the sixth position in the table.

The manager’s success was further highlighted by Hull’s recent 3-0 victory over Cardiff City, marking consecutive wins for the team. In recognition of his achievements, Rosenior has been rewarded with a new long-term contract extending until the summer of 2026.

Expressing his delight, Rosenior mentioned his strong affinity for the club and credited the support of the players and backroom staff. He emphasized the alignment of goals and values within the club, expressing pride in representing Hull as the manager. Looking ahead, Rosenior sees this commitment as the beginning of a successful journey and hopes to create lasting memories with the team.

Before transitioning into coaching, Rosenior played a pivotal role for Hull as a player, contributing one goal and 15 assists in 161 competitive matches. His on-field contributions were crucial in Hull’s ascent from the Championship to the Premier League. Additionally, Rosenior was part of the team that reached the FA Cup final in the 2013-14 season, securing a place in the Europa League qualifiers the following season.
