The Leeds United forward embarked on his professional journey and joined Chelsea at the age of 18 in 2012. During his initial training session with Chelsea, the now 30-year-old Patrick Bamford, filled with nerves, stumbled over a cone in the warm-up, causing amusement among his more experienced teammates. Despite numerous loan spells at clubs like MK Dons and Middlesbrough, Bamford never got a chance to make a senior appearance for Chelsea. His breakthrough came later at Leeds under Marcelo Bielsa, where he played a key role in achieving promotion and establishing himself as a regular in the Premier League. Looking back to 2012, Bamford recalled the pressure of training alongside Chelsea’s star-studded lineup, including Lampard, Torres, Terry, and others. Despite the initial mishap, he eventually adapted and trained well, but the Chelsea chapter marked a challenging and uncertain period in his career.
