Ed Duckworth has been appointed as the referee for the upcoming clash between Rovers and Bradford City on December 22. The Cheshire official has officiated in 18 matches during the current season, with the majority taking place in Sky Bet League Two. Across these games, he has shown 81 yellow cards and issued three red cards.
This will be Duckworth’s second time refereeing a Rovers game in the current season. His previous involvement was during the September goalless draw against Swindon Town, a match in which he issued a red card to Tommy Rowe. Duckworth, who was promoted to the EFL in the summer, has gained experience and will now oversee the Rovers’ encounter with Bradford City.
The officiating team for the upcoming match will include assistant referees Jack Forder and Lee Freeman, with Richard Woodward assigned fourth official duties.
