Rotherham United manager has made a decision on 24-year-old as his first January signing

Rotherham United has reached a decision on whether to recall Peter Kioso from his loan spell at Peterborough United in January, according to manager Leam Richardson. However, the club has not yet made this decision public, and Peterborough United has not been informed.

Peter Kioso, a 24-year-old right-back, has been on loan at Peterborough United since the summer, and his impressive performances have made him a significant asset for the team. He has made 23 appearances and scored one goal for Posh, earning the captaincy in September.

Is the Rotherham United door still open for Peter Kioso?

Richardson stated that he has made up his mind regarding Kioso and that discussions have taken place within the club. The decision involves assessing whether Kioso’s continued development through regular playing time at Peterborough would be more beneficial or if his return to Rotherham is necessary for upcoming fixtures.

The manager emphasized that the decision would remain internal until all details are finalized. Kioso’s potential return could address defensive vulnerabilities on Rotherham’s right flank, especially in the absence of Lee Peltier, who plays in that position. Rotherham United currently faces a challenging situation, being nine points adrift of safety as the season approaches its halfway point.
