AC Milan are pushing hard to reinforce the team with a new fantastic No.9 on January transfer

AC Milan is actively seeking to strengthen their team with a new No. 9, focusing on potential signings between January and the summer. One of their key targets is Serhou Guirassy, and negotiations with the player’s entourage are reportedly underway.

At 37 years old, Olivier Giroud, though still contributing with eight goals and five assists this season, is not a long-term solution. Milan aims to secure a striker for the future, and while Jonathan David of Lille has been frequently mentioned, it seems that Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart has become the preferred option.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan is engaged in discussions with Guirassy’s entourage, but a significant obstacle is the player’s salary demand of €4 million per year. This figure would place Guirassy among the highest-paid players on the team, leading the club to consider their options carefully.

Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy Will Be In High Demand This Winter

Despite the challenge, Guirassy, aged 27, has been in impressive form, scoring 19 goals in 16 appearances this season. His contract includes a release clause of €17 million, attracting interest from several clubs. However, Milan views him as their Plan A, and an attempt to secure his services is likely to be made in the upcoming transfer window.

In the meantime, Olivier Giroud and Luka Jovic will be leading the attacking line for Milan. Jovic, who has scored three goals in his last three appearances, could potentially extend his stay with the club beyond the current season.
