Huddersfield Town boss Darren Moore insisted he wants the club’s mindset to change after overseeing a 3-0 win

Huddersfield Town manager Darren Moore expressed his desire for a shift in the club’s mindset following a convincing 3-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers. The win ended a five-game winless streak, alleviating pressure on Moore and his team. Jaheim Headley opened the scoring in the first half, with Sorba Thomas and Delano Burgzorg adding to the lead after the break.

With the triumph, Huddersfield now sits five points clear of the relegation zone, especially significant as 22nd-placed Queens Park Rangers suffered a defeat on the same day. Despite the improved position, Moore emphasizes the importance of looking upward in the league standings rather than focusing on potential relegation battles. He stressed the need to change the club’s perception and mindset, urging everyone involved to set their sights on climbing higher in the league.

Darren Moore must turn psychologist again after a 4-0 defeat as Huddersfield Town's fragility shows

Moore stated, “It’s about changing the mindset of the club and the perception and us as a group of players, fans, and everything else. We just want to continue looking up the league and seeing who we can catch above.” He acknowledged the positive three points earned and directed attention to the upcoming challenge on Friday, emphasizing the difficulty of the upcoming game.

Despite Blackburn being favored by many before their visit to the John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield’s strategic approach proved effective. Moore highlighted Blackburn’s proficiency in ball possession but pointed out that Huddersfield anticipated the importance of transitions in the game. By executing their off-the-ball work effectively, Huddersfield capitalized on turnovers, exploiting areas for attacking opportunities. The manager acknowledged the challenge posed by Blackburn but praised his team’s ability to implement their game plan successfully.
