‘He’s just got to learn’ – Bradford City boss shares exactly what 24-year-old must do to improve

Bradford City manager Graham Alexander has issued a challenge to Clarke Oduor, urging the player to replicate the high levels of performance seen in both matches and training. Despite sitting just outside the League Two playoff places, Bradford City has seen a boost with Alexander taking charge as the new boss.

On Boxing Day, Bradford faced an inconsistent Morecambe side at Valley Parade. Despite Morecambe’s early lead with goals from James Connolly and JJ McKiernan, Bradford City fought back with substitute Oduor scoring in the 59th minute. The determination persisted, and Brad Halliday leveled the score late in the game, resulting in a 2-2 draw. The single point earned left Bradford City in 10th place, three points away from the playoff spots.

After the match, Alexander, in an interview with BBC Radio Leeds, expressed satisfaction with Oduor’s on-field performances. Oduor has contributed two goals and two assists in his 12 League Two appearances for Bradford City this season. However, Alexander emphasized that for Oduor to maintain and further improve his performance at Valley Parade, he needs to demonstrate the same level of determination in training and preparation for games. The manager sees this as a crucial factor in Oduor’s development, potentially leading to increased playing time in the upcoming New Year.
