Fans are invited to participate in an online fan meeting, broadcast live on CharltonTV on Wednesday, January 10th, starting at 7 pm GMT. The event will also be available on the club’s YouTube channel. During the meeting, board members James Rodwell, Paul Elliott CBE MBE, and Gavin Carter will elaborate on the club’s future plans. Supporters will have the opportunity to pose questions via Zoom and WhatsApp.
Managing Director James Rodwell expressed the significance of the meeting, stating, “Following the takeover of the club in late July, we have had five months getting a look under the bonnet and forming a clear understanding of the changes that need to be made to turn this club around, both on and off the pitch.”
Rodwell acknowledged the current league position and performance levels, which have been consistent with recent years, as falling short of expectations. He highlighted the efforts made in the past few months to implement changes in personnel, structure, and processes with the aim of achieving continuous progress on and off the pitch.
Anticipating a busy January transfer window, Rodwell emphasized the crucial role of the club’s fanbase in their journey. The upcoming meeting aims to present the club’s vision, providing supporters with insights into future plans and giving them the opportunity to challenge the board on relevant topics.
