Liverpool is seeking guaranteed playing time for highly-regarded Portuguese forward Fábio Carvalho, and Wolves have reportedly approached the club about a potential loan deal for the 21-year-old. Gary O’Neil, now associated with Wolves, has reached out to Liverpool to explore the possibility of bringing Carvalho to Molineux for the remainder of the season. Wolves are awaiting a decision from Liverpool and Carvalho’s camp after his frustrating loan spell at RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga, where he made only 15 appearances, with one start.

The 2022 £5 million signing from Fulham is determining his next destination, and Liverpool is purportedly keen on securing guaranteed playing time for Carvalho. Several clubs, including Fulham, Southampton, and Leicester, have been linked with the forward since his return from Germany. O’Neil, working within financial constraints this transfer window, is relying on his connections with Liverpool, where he spent six months working with the under-23s between August 2020 and February 2021, to help secure Carvalho, who remains highly-regarded by the Reds.
