Huddersfield Town midfielder Scott High has been recalled from his loan spell at Ross County in the Scottish Premier League due to a hamstring injury. The 22-year-old, who moved to Ross County on a season-long loan in the last summer window, has only made two appearances from the bench, with his last one occurring in early November.
High, a Dewsbury-born player, had a single appearance for Huddersfield Town at the beginning of the current season in an EFL Cup tie against Middlesbrough in August. FIFA rules prevent him from playing for another club this season, as he has already featured for two different teams in 2023-24.
Having contributed to Huddersfield’s ‘Great Escape’ from relegation in the final third of the previous season, High made four appearances, with his last one in a draw with Blackburn Rovers on Easter Monday. He spent the first half of that season on loan at Rotherham United but was recalled in January.
Brodie Spencer, another player on loan from Huddersfield Town in the Scottish Premier League, was also recalled last week from his season-long loan with Motherwell. The 19-year-old, who has been a regular for Motherwell and has earned senior caps for Northern Ireland, started in Huddersfield’s FA Cup tie against Manchester City on Sunday.
As for new additions, Huddersfield Town has already made two signings in the January transfer window, bringing in Chelsea loanee Alex Matos and Serbian striker Bojan Radulović. Both players made their debuts in the recent FA Cup tie against Manchester City, and the team is set to face Plymouth Argyle in the Championship on Saturday.
