Charlton Athletic has agreed on a fee with Peterborough United for the transfer of 29-year-old striker

It appears that Charlton Athletic has agreed on a fee with Peterborough United for the transfer of Jonson Clarke-Harris, the 29-year-old striker. However, as of now, the player has not yet agreed to personal terms with Charlton Athletic.

According to Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson, the bid has been accepted by Charlton, but the process is now in the hands of the player to negotiate and finalize personal terms. Ferguson emphasized that they have set a valuation for each player, and if a club meets that valuation, they are willing to let the player go and proceed with discussions on personal terms.

Ferguson also mentioned that the club’s owner, Darragh MacAnthony, is open to selling Clarke-Harris and center-back Ronnie Edwards in the current transfer window. Edwards has been linked with interest from Crystal Palace and several other Premier League clubs.

The manager clarified that there are specific valuations set by the chairman, which are relatively high but justified by the quality of the players. As per Ferguson, Clarke-Harris and Edwards are the only players expected to be sold during the January transfer window, based on the chairman’s assurances.
