Sheffield Wednesday in talks over permanent move for Premier League midfielder

Coventry, whose contract with West Ham expires at the end of the season, boasts the achievement of being a UEFA Europa Conference League winner, having played a role in last year’s journey to the final. However, this season, he has been mainly confined to the bench in the capital, with just one appearance in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy for the U21s. Given the limited playing time, there is a desire for him to secure a move this month to seek more regular football. The latest information suggests that Wednesday is in negotiations for a potential permanent deal at Hillsborough, as opposed to a loan arrangement.

The Republic of Ireland youth international has previously been loaned out to clubs such as Peterborough United and Rotherham United in his career. However, the current intention appears to be establishing a more permanent situation at his next destination.

Charlton Athletic is reportedly another club engaging in talks with Coventry. Additionally, sources indicate interest from other clubs in the Championship and League One, as well as from the Netherlands.
