Charlton Athletic head coach Michael Appleton has finally spoken out about the rumors swirling around two of his important players, Corey Blackett-Taylor and George Dobson. Both players are facing uncertainty as their contracts enter the last six months, garnering interest from rival clubs.
Derbyshire County Eyes Blackett-Taylor
Corey Blackett-Taylor, a prolific player for Charlton, has been a target for Derby County, who recently made a bid of £250,000 after an earlier £200,000 offer.
Blackett-Taylor was noticeably absent from Charlton’s recent 2-1 loss to Peterborough. This absence, due to a training injury, fanned conjecture regarding the player’s impending exit.
However, Appleton has denied these claims, insisting that Blackett-Taylor’s injury was legitimate. The Charlton coach has stated that Blackett-Taylor will not go unless Derby fulfills Charlton’s valuation for the player.
