BREAKING NEWS : Huddersfield Town are now close to announces the signing of 39 goals 7assist striker

According to The Athletic (Transfer News Live, 18.01.24, 09:31), Huddersfield Town are in early talks about signing Watford striker Rhys Healey on a permanent basis.
Watford just added striker Healey to their squad in the summer, signing him from French club FC Toulouse. His final year in France was cut short by an ACL injury, but the Welshman was productive throughout his three years there, scoring 39 goals and assisting seven times in 77 appearances.

However, Healey has yet to play a regular starting role for the Hornets. He’s started just one Championship game and has two goals and an assist in 13 appearances across all competitions.

According to The Athletic, he could be on his way to new pastures. According to reports, another second-tier club Huddersfield Town is in early talks with Watford over a permanent signing for the striker, with a deal worth over £2 million on the table.

If the trade goes through, Watford will attempt to replace him with someone else.

A short stay at Watford
It’s unusual for a player to make two permanent moves in the span of half a year, but Healey appears to be doing just that. It is good business for Watford to collect a reasonable compensation for a player they signed for free in the summer.

Huddersfield Town will be hoping that the 29-year-old can take on the role as their new talisman. He may not have found form during his spell at Vicarage Road, but if he can show the levels he demonstrated in France, he might be a long-needed solution to Darren Moore’s troubles at the top of the pitch.

Healey was a prolific League One and League Two player with MK Dons before moving to France, and he’ll be hungry to show himself in the Championship. At Huddersfield Town, he should have more opportunities to achieve this.
