BREAKING NEWS : premier league top club now pushing hard to sign Wolves top attacker

Arsenal have been connected with Wolves attacker Pedro Neto for some time, and speculation is still rife.

According to The Athletic, the Gunners are still interested in Neto as they hunt for fresh wide players.

The Mirror reported earlier this month that the Wolves player wants to go to the Emirates Stadium.

However, a January move seems doubtful for Arsenal, who appear to have other priorities, such as full-back and midfield.

Now, Ally McCoist has urged the Gunners not to sign Neto and believes they will not make a bid for him.
The commentator, speaking on talkSPORT, says Arsenal does not need him because they already have players like the 23-year-old Portuguese star.

“Great player,” McCoist declared. “He isn’t what they need. They have several similar players to Neto.”Is he a good player? Yes. Can he move to a larger club? Yes. Will it be Arsenal? No.”

Pedro Neto is a good option for Arsenal, but he will not come cheap.
Neto is a high-calibre midfielder who has stood out for Wolves in the Premier League and would undoubtedly do a job for a title-chasing and Champions League-competing side such as

You may argue that the Gunners have players similar to Neto, but given the workload on teams like Arsenal, a like-for-like replacement isn’t such a horrible notion.

At the same time, Arsenal clearly has larger fish to fry, not just in this window, but also in the summer.

The Gunners do not have a standout striker, and Gabriel Jesus, despite his abilities and efforts, is not that player.

With that in mind, Ivan Toney would be an excellent addition, but he will not come cheap. With Neto apparently valued at £70 million, the Gunners may be forced to choose between the two options.
