What Baltimore Ravens head coach DeMeco Ryans said about key player ahead of playoffs against Texans

‘Exceptional!’ DeMeco Ryans Praises Growth of Lamar Jackson, Ravens Offense

The Houston Texans face a tough test on Saturday when they travel to face the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, and head coach DeMeco Ryans believes the challenge has become stronger throughout the season. The Texans and Ravens met off in Week 1 of the regular season, with Baltimore winning 25-9 at home. Since then, Ryans believes the Ravens have grown as a team, particularly on offense.

“They’ve grown throughout the season as an offense,” Ryans was quoted as saying. “I believe they’re lot more efficient. Lamar [Jackson] is playing excellent football. MVP-caliber football. He’s done an excellent job of not only rushing the ball or creating off-scheduled plays, but also passing the ball to his playmakers.” Following an outstanding season in Baltimore, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is a viable MVP candidate this year. Jackson passed for 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns in the regular season, along with seven interceptions. He’s also racked up 821 yards and five touchdowns on the ground, leading the Ravens to a 13-4 record and first-round bye.
