Scott Fraser, a Charlton Athletic midfielder, is close to joining Hearts on loan, according to the Edinburgh Evening News.
Charlton Athletic are preparing to let the Scotsman leave temporarily this winter.

According to the Edinburgh Evening News, his side has ‘signed’ a deal with Hearts for a transfer, which should be finalized this week.

The Daily Record recently connected him to Motherwell. However, their Scottish Premiership rivals, Hearts, have now stepped in.

Fraser joined the Addicks in 2022 and totaled nine goals last season. He began his career at Dundee United and advanced to the first team as a teenager before going to England in 2018 to join Burton Albion.

MK Dons signed him after a few years with the Brewers, and he was a hit in Buckinghamshire, scoring 14 goals.

That form won him a move to Ipswich Town, but his time at Portman Road did not go as planned, and he was allowed to leave for the Addicks just six months into his three-year contract.

Parting ways with Fraser will free up space and finances in Charlton’s roster, allowing them to bring in new players before the end of the month. Michael Appleton is under increasing pressure.
