5-Star WR Says Auburn Tigers Have A ‘Good Chance’ Of Getting Him

Auburn Tigers are pursuing yet another highly ranked wide receiver prospect.

After signing two 5-star wide receivers in their 2024 class, Auburn supporters have began to believe that the Tigers will make significant recruiting gains. Auburn now appears to be in a good position with 2025 receiver Caleb Cunningham.

Cunningham recently returned from his second visit to Auburn and spoke with On3 about his experiences on the Plains.

Cunningham says the Tigers are going up his list of schools.

“Auburn has definitely moved up my list,” Cunningham told On3. “What stood out about Auburn was how much I learned about their program. They have a terrific staff. There, everything revolves around brotherhood and family. They were very welcoming. The coaches obviously like me; they were telling me how important I can be in their attack and how much they need players like me.”

The Tigers obviously need more players like Cunningham – the No. 2 wide receiver prospect according to On3 – in their passing offense, which struggled severely a season ago. What’s the message to Cunningham? Find the greatest atmosphere, preferably in Auburn.

“Coach Freeze’s message was to locate the ideal environment. He believes that Auburn may be the greatest atmosphere for me. He obviously wants me in his offense.

“Coach Davis’ message was that he wanted me badly. I’m one of his top players in the 2025 class, and he’ll coach me hard, but he’ll adore me even more. Coach Nix told me he could use me in his offense in a variety of ways.

The Tigers have caught fire early in the 2025 cycle, and they are presently ranked fourth in the nation.

“I feel good about Auburn,” Cunningham added. “They definitely have a good chance of getting me.”
