Christian Wade has been on an incredible journey over the years. In what seems like a lifetime ago, the Slough native scored over 90 tries in the English Premiership for the now-defunct Wasps.
Wade did it long before Louis Rees-Zammit broke Welsh hearts with his NFL debut. The speedster began his stay in America in spectacular manner, scoring a 65-meter touchdown for the Buffalo Bills in a 2019 preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Despite coming ‘all the way from England,’ the brilliant player’s NFL career did not go as planned, and in 2022, Wade returned to Rugby, joining French team Racing 92. Wade has had little playing time since returning to the game that made him famous, but when called upon, he has shown flashes of brilliance.
Last Saturday, while playing against the Cardiff Blues, we saw the little magician turn Welsh hopeful Mason Grady inside out.
