Swindon Town has recruited AIK attacker Zack Elbouzedi on a loan until the end of the season.
This season, the 25-year-old has appeared in only seven games in the Swedish top flight.
The Irishman has three goals in 62 games for AIK.
He began his professional career with Inverness Caledonian Thistle after completing three years of his youth career at West Brom from 2014 to 2017.
After a successful spell with Inverness, where he won the Scottish Challenge Cup in 2017–18, Elbouzedi joined League of Ireland side Waterford.
The forward scored six times in 29 appearances for the club, before earning a move to League One side Lincoln City in 2019, before moving on to Bolton Wanderers where he was part of the squad that earned promotion in 2021.
The Dubliner was also an important clog in Stephen Kenny’s Ireland Under-21 team including representing Ireland at the Toulon Tournament in 2019.
He scored three goals in 13 games for the Irish Under-21 side.
Elbouzedi joins fellow Irishman Liam Kinsella who signed for The Robins last week.
They are currently 14th in League Two and face Graham Coughlan’s Newport County on Saturday, who battled bravely against Manchester United last weekend in the FA Cup.
