Scott Fraser has expressed his dissatisfaction with the “dragging” of his loan move to Hearts, which he completed from Charlton Athletic yesterday.
The Scottish club had arranged a deal earlier in January.
However, Charlton were not in a hurry to complete the temporary transfer because Hearts were not covering a significant percentage of the former Ipswich and MK players’ salaries.
Fraser did move north of the border yesterday. He wrote on their official X account: “It felt like a long time coming, but we finally finished it, and I’m over the moon.
“I passed my medical a week ago.
“I believe Joe (Savage, Hearts’ sporting director) has been more anxious than me over the previous 12-13 days. I understand how hard he has worked with my agents and Charlton.
“We welcomed our daughter 16 months ago, and it has been the most amazing thing that has ever happened. It’s difficult to travel to Dundee from London. You travel from Saturday to Tuesday, and it is difficult for the missus to be down here alone.
“But I wasn’t only coming to London to return home. I wanted to attend the right type of club. When a club like Hearts comes in for you, I don’t need much convincing. Let’s get the deal!
We tried to finish as soon as possible, but it took longer than expected.
“I’m Scottish, and I watch every Scottish football match that is aired. I understand how large and successful the club is.”
