Rieko Ioane, an All Blacks midfielder and Blues centre, is engaged to his longtime partner Dione Iusitini.
The couple announced the news on Instagram yesterday through a series of images.
“For life, baby,” Iusitini captioned the image, which included Ioane.
He added one of the photographs from the post to his account, along with a love heart emoji.
Several rugby players flocked to the comments section to congratulate the happy couple.
Ioane was photographed down on one knee in one of the photographs, which also showed the joyful couple hugging and kissing.
A ‘Will you marry me’ sign was seen on a table, beside a bunch of flowers and a handful of red roses.
Iusitini’s puppy appears to have been involved in the proposal, as she posted on her story: “My baby with the ring” – a jewellery bag connected to its red collar. Ioane is later seen in one of the photographs patting the dog.
David Havili, a fellow All Blacks midfielder, announced his engagement to Lucy Sellwood last month.
