Huddersfield Town team news for Sunderland as Rhys Healey faces long injury lay-off

Huddersfield Town has received mixed news on the injury front ahead of tomorrow’s Championship clash with Sunderland.
Rhys Healey, the Huddersfield Town striker, might be sidelined for up to six weeks due to a groin issue. The January signing appeared in the 1-1 draws against Blackburn Rovers and QPR last month, but suffered a setback in the first half of the 4-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday.

Prior to the Southampton game, caretaker manager Jon Worthington stated that the striker was expected to miss at least two weeks owing to the injury. However, Worthingon has now suggested that the setback may keep the forward sidelined until the end of March.

In Tuesday’s press conference, Worthington initially stated that the injury was “long term,” but later clarified: “When I say long term, that was maybe a little bit of an exaggeration. I believe he will be sidelined for about six weeks, but I’ll leave that up to the specialists.”Worthington provided an injury report before of tomorrow night’s game against Sunderland, saying: “Everyone has come through, no concerns there. The Championship is quite rigorous, with midweek games as well, and every game is a test and a tough game, but I believe we’re in a fortunate position with the team, which is looking really fit right now.

“(Michal) Helik had a significant impact in that QPR game, and he’s pushing really hard, he wants to get back, he wants to play, but I think he’s finding it a little bit frustrating with that one at the minute.”Other players, such as Delano (Burgzorg) and Danny Ward, have been out for a lengthy time but have returned to the field. Obviously, it will take time to get them back to full speed, but having those types of guys in and around the club is a huge plus.

“I’m in a fortunate situation heading into tomorrow’s game with a healthy and, I believe, good squad. “We are in a great position.”Brodie (Spencer), along with a few others, drained the tank, as I requested. If they’ve given their all after 70 minutes, the next player comes on, as was the case on Saturday with a number of the guys.”
Worthington also announced that Radinio Balker is back in contention to play the Black Cats after missing the defeat to Southampton due to illness.
