On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes won their third Super Bowl in five seasons, including back-to-back crowns.
The team’s current ambition is to “three-peat,” which has never been accomplished in NFL history.
“I’m going to work on getting this three-peat, no three-peat ever, so we’re working on that right now,” Mahomes stated on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday. However, there is another reason pushing Mahomes to win Kansas City its third Super Bowl title in a succession. The term “dynasty” continues to be used in conversations about the Chiefs. Speaking with McAfee, Mahomes revealed the narrative of how he first used the word to define the team and how the word pushes.
He wants to be great.
“I’m going to throw our PR guy under the bus a little bit.” “In my first year, I said ‘dynasty’ and he didn’t like it,” Mahomes added. “So, after the game, I reminded him, ‘Remember when I said it that first year? “We’ve got something going now.”
Mahomes has made the playoffs in each of his six seasons as Chiefs quarterback. If Andy continues on this path of success, his name and the Chiefs will undoubtedly go down in history as an NFL dynasty.
